Our senior management team combines decades of experience in title insurance, general insurance, settlement services, real estate, regulatory, legal, consumer marketing, and technology.
 

Timothy M. Dwyer Founder/President/Chief Executive Officer/Director Tim is President and Chief Executive Officer of Entitle Direct Group, Inc. at our corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Tim brings over 20 years of insurance industry expertise to our Company. Prior to founding Entitle Direct Group in 2006, he served as Managing Director at the investment-banking firm of Greenhill & Company, specializing in the insurance industry. He previously held a similar position at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (Managing Director specializing in the insurance sector). Tim is a former Vice President at Salomon Brothers Inc. and was a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. Tim received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and is a graduate of the University of Illinois.

Michael F. Waiwood President - Insurance Operations Mike is President and Chief Executive Officer of EnTitle Insurance Company (formerly Guardian National Title Insurance Company) in Cleveland, Ohio. Mike has over 30 years experience in the Title Insurance Industry and is a recognized expert in the field. As an attorney, Mike has authored numerous publications and is often consulted by others in the title industry for his expertise on legal and regulatory matters. Before joining EnTitle Insurance Company, Mike served as Senior Vice President and Senior Regional Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from John Carroll University and earned his law degree at Cleveland State University.

Mark Halpern Chief Financial Officer Mark is responsible for all financial, corporate, and administrative aspects of the Company including finance, business analysis, budgeting, human resources, and business affairs issues. Mark brings deep operating and financial experience in the media and internet industries to Entitle Direct Group, Inc. He began his career in Ernst & Young's entrepreneurial tax services group where his clients were predominately venture- backed high-growth businesses. Mark was Senior Vice President of Finance for MediaVast, Inc., a venture-backed digital media company. He helped strengthen the infrastructure of the company during its high-growth years until its sale to Getty Images, Inc. in 2007. Mark completed his undergraduate work at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of New York.

Alan M. Doran Vice President of Closing Services Alan is Vice President of Closing Services out of our corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Before joining Entitle Direct Group, Inc., Alan supervised and performed hundreds of real estate closings and is responsible for bringing the real estate closing experience to the internet through our unique, consumer-friendly website. Alan also served as an attorney-title agent for multiple statewide and national title insurance companies during his tenure as a private attorney. Alan has practiced law in Connecticut since 1993, and spent three years in commercial banking before attending law school. Alan received his law degree from Quinnipiac University and is a graduate of James Madison University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics.

Frederick B. Kauber Chief Information Officer Fred leads all technology and product development initiatives for the Company, drawing upon over 19 years of experience in senior technology, product management/development and operations leadership roles. Prior to joining Entitle Direct Group, Fred was CTO of Securities Processing and SVP of Enterprise Platform Solutions at First Data Corporation; in this capacity he was responsible for the strategic development and operation of enterprise web, ERP, CRM and new product platforms. He previously was the CTO of Bigfoot Interactive and the Solid Group, and has also held senior leadership positions at Reliance Insurance, Dun & Bradstreet and IBM. He has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences over the past decade on topics of e-commerce, web application development and BPM; his Internet-based solutions for the insurance industry have been recognized by Computerworld and CIO Magazine. Fred possesses an MBA in Finance & International Business from New York University and an MS in Telecommunications from Pace University.

Claire Fennessey Senior Vice President, Marketing Claire manages all marketing and PR efforts for the company and has been involved in marketing and product development for over 20 years. Most recently, she was VP Marketing at TotalMove, a venture-backed business in the consumer real estate market, and was responsible for marketing, business development and operations functions. Prior to that, Claire held various director and VP level marketing, product development and product management positions first at Cendant Direct Marketing (now Affinion) and later at Pitney Bowes. Earlier in her career, Claire managed the marketing and program development for Microsoft's Multimedia and CD-ROM events. Claire received her BS in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and her MBA from Pace University Lubin Graduate School of Business.

David Reilly Vice President of Specialist Center Dave is Vice President of our Specialist Center that is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dave brings over 12 years of experience in the Title Insurance and Closing Vendor Management industry along with 13 years experience in Consumer Lending to Entitle Direct Group, Inc. Most recently, Dave served as Vice President of Operations for Fiserv Lending Solutions. At Fiserv, Dave led the real estate services division that provided closing services for direct and indirect consumer lending institutions. Prior to Fiserv, Dave was employed by Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh for 8 years in their Consumer Lending Department. Dave held various management positions while at Mellon Bank including AVP of their Vendor Management department. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University.

Robert V. Deutsch Director Mr. Deutsch is the former Chief Executive Officer of Ironshore Inc., a global specialty insurance company. Mr. Deutsch has over twenty years of senior executive experience in the insurance industry. Formerly, Mr. Deutsch was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for CNA Financial Corp. ("CNA" - NYSE) and was one of the founders of Executive Risk ("ER" - NYSE, now part of The Chubb Corporation), where he held a number of leadership positions, including President of its insurance operating companies, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary.

David H. Elliott Director Mr. Elliott has over 30 years of experience in insurance and financial guaranty insurance industries. Mr. Elliott is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MBIA, Inc. Mr. Elliott served previously as Director of a number of financial services companies, including: Gryphon Holdings, Orion Capital Corp., Aames Financial, Criterion Research ChannelRe and The Republic Companies.

Hanley C. Clark Director Mr. Clark has over 20 years of insurance regulatory experience. Mr. Clark served for 13 years as the insurance commissioner of the State of West Virginia. Representing the United States, Mr. Clark was elected chairman of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. Mr. Clark served as an advisor to the government of South Korea on insurance regulatory issues.

Keith Carter Director Mr. Carter is a Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance with Plainfield Asset Management, LLC, a Greenwich, Connecticut based Hedge Fund. Prior to joining Plainfield, Mr. Carter was Vice President of Briscoe Capital Management, LLC. Mr. Carter's experience also includes serving as an associate at Heartland Industrial Partners and as an associate for the Leveraged Finance Group at Deutsche Banc Alex Brown. Mr. Carter also has worked in the Fixed Income Mortgage Group at Morgan Stanely & Co., and he started his career at S.N. Phelps & Co. in Greenwich, Connecticut.

David Verklin Director Mr. Verklin, a veteran advertising executive, is the CEO of Canoe Ventures, LLC, a joint venture founded in 2008 by the country's leading cable operators. The company focuses on enabling advanced advertising technologies and making them easier to buy, use and measure. Prior to Canoe Ventures, Mr. Verklin was the CEO of Aegis Media Americas. He was recently named to Mediaweek's Watch List 2009 and has been recognized as one of the industry's most influential people on the CableFAX 100. He was also inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in 2009.
